there was no escape, no reprieve. i could see only one possible end looming darkly in my
future. the only question was how many other people would be hurt before i reached it.

[/b] - it's just your average town in the middle of no where that tourists seem to flock to for no other reason but the traps set in place for them and the beautiful beaches bordered by endless woods. The residents of this picturesque town seem to be cut right out of a made for television movie where everyone knows each other's business and could name their neighbors in full. And all the while the citizens of forks are completely unaware that their little slice of heaven has been infiltrated by the very beings they have lived in fear of for centuries. a small coven of vampires has made their home in Forks and live peacefully alongside the humans while feeding on the abundance of wildlife the forests have to offer. they don't wish to live reclusively or amongst only their kind and wish not to slaughter innocent people. Until now nobody has suspected anything about their existence and even less know who these inhumanely beautiful people really are, that is nobody who doesn't live in La Push or belong to the Quiluete Tribe, but even they can't escape the winds of change.

It was a homecoming not of her own making when Bella Swan came to live with her father in Forks willingly enough. The teenage girl was prepared for the move, ready for the rain, and open to the idea that she would be the main source of interest for the bored students, but she never expected to find much to interest her either. That is not until she saw the Cullen family sitting at their lunch table. She was inexplicably drawn toward them and not able to keep them from her mind, especially Edward. The interest piqued when he seemed to unexplainably hate her without ever really saying a word to her, but Bella was willing then to forget all about it, at least she thought that she was. In truth, she was fascinated by him and didn't want to admit this to even herself though she was able to throw hers attention at other things until he saved her from a certain death by crushing of a van. It was then that her questions first started to form, but not even Bella was ready for the answers she received via Jacob at 1st beach.

But her suspicions and his story were only the tip of the ice burg as far as the secrets lurking in the shadows were concerned. For a grizzly murder at the power plant just outside the city limits shook the town to the very core. The last death had been purely accidental, and certainly nothing like what the people were seeing now. However, this would not be an isolated case nor the very last. Just one short week later another murder took place just in the same way as the other one had at the ranger station between Forks and La Push. The city has issued a reward for those who might have information leading to the capture of the culprit. There are only two groups who know what may be the true cause of all the death and bloody carnage, but they are hesitant to make any moves until they are sure.

As for the little town of Forks, Washington? It continues on as just another little place in the world, maybe it's a lot like your world if you've ever noticed inhumanely beautiful creatures walking amongst you or seen a much larger than normal wolf roaming the woods just at the city limit. Then again, maybe it doesn't even come close though there is one little thing for certain in Forks - a much more dangerous adversary has made it's appearance and left a warning of their appearance. For this adversary wont soon leave and there is certainly more to come.[/SIZE][/ul]
