I'm a pretty lax person when it comes to rules, and I'll pretty much be cool with whatever goes, but for a few main things. The following rules are subject to be added to, but to be followed nonetheless. I've got a few pet peeves (sorry, guys!), that hopefully will help make things go smoothly. Please and thank you!
1. Do not make an account if you are not decisive about joining. It is extremely annoying to have a member sign up and never log in again. Also, do not steal any of our content, graphics, codes, ideas, posts and so on or you will be banned and turned into proboards.
2. Respect each other! I expect discussions to get heated and some arguing, but flaming one another is not allowed.
3. No spamming, this includes in the boards, through PMs, the CBox and so on. Spamming means PMing people your site asking them to join, or posting the same post all over the site, and so on.
4. Signatures can not be any bigger than 300(height)X500(width).
5. All RP's should be at least two paragraphs long. But it, of course, can be longer than two paragraphs. A paragraph is 5-7 sentences long, depending on the content. If the paragraph holds good descriptive content then fewer sentences are required. But if the sentences aren't so good then you would need more to form a good paragraph.
6. This one is very important. If you go inactive then you will lose your character, this is if you're a canon character. I consider 2 weeks inactive. If you're going on vacation then let me know. Otherwise I don't want to hear any excuses. If you don't have the time in your life right now to RP properly, then make your own original character and leave the canon characters for those who have the time. Thanks.
7. PLEASE NOTE THAT MEMBERS ARE NOT TO RP BEFORE THEIR APPLICATION HAS BEEN ACCEPTED! The only posts they can make are in the OOC board or in the discussions.
8. No god-modding. If you don't know what that means: RP only for your characters, and not anyone else's (unless you've gotten permission from the owner of another's character to do so.)
9. Don't kill off anyone's characters but your own, unless you have permission.
10. You can have as many characters as you like, I don't care, but for each character please make a new account. When your application is approved, your display name should be changed to that character's name. This is so there will be no confusion on which accounts have what character, etc.
11. Try to keep up with all your open threads. If you can't, or just need a break, that's cool. We all need breaks, or get lazy. Just let us know, and we won't love you any less.
12. Spelling and grammar! Please, please, please try to keep it in line. I know everyone makes typos, or a lot of people suck at the whole grammar thing (points to self), and I totally understand that. I just don't want any internet typing, or it to get so bad that we can't read your posts. This is a para-RP, so in other words, I want it to read like it would in a book. Not:
*steps onto balcony. Smiles at so-and-so*
I didn't expect NE1 2 b out here.
I would like something more like:
She stepped onto the balcony, smiling as the fresh air greeted her. Upon noticing she was not alone.... yadda yadda. You get the drill.
13. This board has a mature rating, for violence and touchy content. You can swear, or fight, in fact, it's encouraged. But if things get too charged in a thread, including sexual content, please mark the title of the thread with an M or an X so that we can be forewarned.
14. Once you've made a character, and the application has been accepted, you have two weeks to post (even just a little thing) before I assume you are no longer interested in the board and delete your account. If you need more time, or just have no clue what to do, I'm here to help. PM me with any questions and we'll figure it out, no prob. The secret code is: And is it written in liquid red.
15. If you decide you want to leave the board, no prob. No one will hate you. Just let us know so that we can work on wrapping up your threads and such.
16. On making characters: Make them realistic, give them depth. I don't want any mary sues.
17. All role-play posts must be made in third person and using past tense.
18. If there are more than two people in a role-play thread, try to find some sort of posting order so as not to leave someone out.
*New Rules may come and go. If you have any questions or suggestions, like said before, feel free to PM me. [/blockquote]
