The time: Christmas. Two years ago, when the Bloody X virus was first released. When it struck, she watched as her parents were killed by it in the small church they had been attending. She watched everyone die around her, and nothing happened to her. Not one moment did she feel the effects of the virus upon her.
She was the only survivor, and the Russian police were baffled. The case closed, the files hidden, and with no leads but for a teenage girl, they wound up sending Tori to her uncle, Hugo, who lived in Las Vegas. He was the top scientist for third-i and when the terrorists entered the states, he began searching for some sort of anti-virus. It wasn't until the second person was in quarantine that he thought to test Tori's blood for a reason why she was immune to the virus. There he found the key, the answer he'd been looking for. Her blood contained the anti-virus, and he was able to help the woman in quarantine before he was kidnapped.
Before he was taken by the terrorists, Hugo made Tori promise not to tell anyone about the key, that she would know when the right person happened upon her to tell. She's kept her mouth shut since, weaving tales of innocence to both the third-i and terrorists that have come trying to search through her uncle's things, looking for clues. Little do they know that she's the only one who knows exactly where everything they need is.
